National Exhibition 8 - 18th September 2016

'Threads in Time',
The National Exhibition at Killerton House, Devon
 8th - 18th September 2016

Killerton House, Devon, UK

The National Exhibition for 2016 is in the stunning National Trust property, Killerton House.  It is an 18th-century house in Broadclyst, Exeter, Devon, England, which has been owned by the National Trust since 1944. The National Trust displays the house as a comfortable home. In the house is a collection of 18th- to 20th-century costumes.

Killerton House has themed exhibitions every year and this year the theme is 'Fashion to Dye For.' The National Exhbition will fit in with this theme.  Craft skills from the Guilds will be displayed in the upstairs rooms alongside their costumes.

Hopefully, tours of the local woollen mills will be organised so that the process of turning fleece into fibre and yarn can be viewed.
