The information about this wonderful conference is now available at https://thebraidsociety.wildapricot.org/Braids-2022
There are many workshops on offer as well as a morning of taster sessions. Do check out the programme for details of each workshop.
I am giving one workshop and a taster session at this conference. I will also be a support tutor for Tamaki Takagi for her workshop on Tubular Sanada-himo bands Class - 1D16
The one day workshop is Weaving a Sámi Belt with a Sigga heddle Class - 1D21
In this workshop, participants will weave a Sámi belt using the Sigga heddle using Sámi band weaving wool. This heddle is specific to a particular type of pattern with 'jumping' pattern threads.

The taster session is Mystery weaving disc for cords Taster - T3
This workshop will give everyone an opportunity to weave a filled tubular cord.
This cord can be used to fasten a rustic linen sack which will hold your equipment. The cord is simple to weave using a back strap. A netting shuttle will be provided. You will learn how to start weaving, how to change the weft and how to finish the cord. You will also learn two bag knots to fasten your cord around the linen sack. I have been enjoying weaving these simple rustic linen sacks in a variety of patterns. #rusticlinensacks
